I have been a dedicated volunteer of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world's largest organization dedicated to breast cancer, for the past decade. Through the years, I have been blown away at how passionate and dedicated the individuals who work to prevent, treat and ultimately cure breast cancer are. This past weekend, I had the chance to connect with Vicki Tashman. Vicki is an extraordinary lady who is the founder of another nonprofit organization, Pink-Link, which is an online support group for breast cancer survivors. Inspired by the support she received during her own breast cancer experience, Vicki created the organization to give back to the community and ensure no woman battles the disease alone. They are based out of LA and have been able to provide comfort and support for so many women since their inception in 2005. As we work to further develop Bright Pink, I am so excited to partner with other organizations such as Pink-Link in order to drive both of our missions that much further.
