BRIGHT NOW ARCHIVE
April 11, 2007
I just returned from a trip to New York City to visit my plastic surgeon (who said everything is healing wonderful!). While in New York I had the chance to have lunch with Leslie Rotchford, the Features Editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine. Leslie covered my story and Bright Pink in a beautiful piece in the March issue. While at lunch, Leslie shared just some of the hundreds of letters the Cosmo team had received from young women who were touched by the story. One of those young women's responses, Meghan from Boston, is featured in the May issue. When I read her story, I was moved to tears. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the age of 19 and is a living testament to why I believe young women must be educated about the benefits of early detection and general awareness of breast and ovarian cancer at a young age. For more information, please check out our EDUCATE section and as always, please feel free to email me directly at Lindsay@BeBrightPink.org. I have truly cherished the opportunity to connect with so many exceptional individuals and look forward to years and years of continued friendships.
All the best
Lindsay
