SARA DALY ROTER

Sara Daly Roter lives with her husband in New York City. She started her career in advertising, but soon found her niche with two top shoe designers. Sara joined their design team, helping their high-end women's line, Banfi Zambrelli, to grow. With a strong family history of breast cancer, Sara tested for the gene mutation BRCA1 and found her results were positive. She opted for a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy in 2007. Bright Pink was extremely therapeutic for her both before and after her surgery. She found that the more she spoke with other young women at high risk, the more she wanted to get involved with the organization that helped her realize she was not alone. After completing reconstruction in November, Sara is feeling empowered and eager to bring the organization to New York City
